PROMISE M12 Consortium Meeting
March 11, 2026PROMISE Consortium Meeting in Delft
On 11th and 12th March 2026, the PROMISE consortium gathered at TNO in Delft for two days of productive discussions, alignment, and planning as we move from system design towards prototype assembly and integration. We have reviewed the progress across our technical work packages and closed several important design elements. The meeting gave us a shared baseline across subsystems—diamond, camera, microwave source, system optics—and helped us refine the remaining steps before we enter the next major project phase.
A few highlights from our discussions:
🔹 System design and component development are converging, allowing us to transition from specification to integration.
🔹 Prototype assembly is about to begin, with both TNO and TECNALIA Research & Innovation building systems in parallel following a common protocol
🔹 We refined the approach for software, interface definitions, and early data needs, ensuring the hardware and ML pipelines progress hand‑in‑hand.
🔹 All use‑case partners shared their readiness plans, sample delivery timelines, and testing requirements, ensuring a coordinated path toward first measurements.
The next months will be particularly exciting as we start:
✅ Finalizing key custom components
✅ Assembling the first PROMISE prototypes at TNO and Tecnalia
✅ Preparing early measurement campaigns across the industrial and research use cases
✅ Feeding first datasets into the machine‑learning workflow
A huge thank you to TNO for hosting us and to all partners for the open discussions, concrete decisions, and collaborative spirit. The momentum is strong—and we look forward to bringing Europe one step closer to next‑generation quantum‑based magnetic imaging systems.
Stay tuned for updates as we move into prototype assembly!
