PROMISE project has kicked off
February 18, 2025π₯³ The PROMISE project (PROtotypes of Magnetic Imaging Systems for Europe) is off to a promising start!
π‘ A groundbreaking leap in quantum sensing is on the horizon. An international research consortium, has launched a pioneering initiative to bring nitrogen-vacancy (NV)-based quantum imaging sensors to real-world industrial applications.
π©βπ¬ With unparalleled speed, accuracy, and efficiency, these next-generation widefield magnetometers eliminate the need for complex vacuum systems and cryogenics, making quantum sensing more accessible than ever. The project unites top-tier research institutions, industry leaders, and machine learning specialists to push these sensors to pre-industrial readiness (TRL7), unlocking new possibilities in semiconductor metrology, materials engineering, and biotechnology.
π By bridging cutting-edge quantum research with real-world industrial needs, PROMISE is set to transform the way we sense, image, and analyze materials at the nanoscale. Stay tuned as we take quantum sensing from the lab to the factory floor.
